Hostinger Review 2026

Last updated: March 2026

Trustpilot: 4.7/5 (63K reviews) From: €2.99/mo Users: Millions worldwide

Who is Hostinger?

Hostinger is one of the world's largest hosting providers. Founded in Lithuania, they now serve millions of customers worldwide. Their pitch: affordable hosting with a clean dashboard and an AI website builder that can generate a full site from a text description.

They're the "easy" choice — the one everyone recommends for beginners. And for good reason: the onboarding experience is smooth, the AI builder works, and the prices are hard to beat. But there are things you should know before committing.

What Hostinger is great at

The AI builder. We're sceptical of AI marketing claims, but Hostinger's AI builder is genuinely useful. Describe your business in a few sentences, and it generates a complete website — layout, text, images. It won't win design awards, but for getting a functional site up fast, it's impressive.

Beginner experience. The hPanel dashboard is clean and intuitive. WordPress installs in one click. DNS settings are simplified. If you've never hosted a website before, Hostinger makes it feel approachable.

Scale. With millions of users, Hostinger is a proven platform. The infrastructure works, the uptime is solid, and there's a massive community for troubleshooting.

Where Hostinger falls short

Heads up: renewal pricing. Hostinger's intro prices are excellent, but they require a multi-year commitment. When your plan renews, the price typically doubles or more. A €2.99/month plan might renew at €7.99/month. Always check the renewal price before signing up.

No phone support. Chat and email only. For many people this is fine, but if you're the type who wants to talk to a real person, this is a limitation. Cloud86 offers phone support at a lower price.

EU servers aren't the default. Hostinger has EU server options, but you might need to specifically select them during setup. For GDPR compliance, make sure you choose a European data centre.

Upsells. The checkout process tries to sell you extras: extended backups, security tools, priority support. You don't need most of them, but it adds friction.

Is Hostinger right for you?

Choose Hostinger if: you're a beginner who wants an affordable, easy-to-use hosting platform with a built-in AI website builder. Especially good if you want a site up and running quickly without technical knowledge.

Look elsewhere if: you want personal phone support (try Cloud86), you want a simpler website builder (try Webador), or you're a developer who needs a deployment platform (try Railway).
